We understand the importance of making dependable, safe products that you can count on. We are proud and active members of the National Church Goods Association and the National Candle Association. We continuously test our products to ensure we meet or exceed ASTM standards as well as assure customer satisfaction.General Wax & Candle Company has been providing quality candles since 1949. Our origins are in institutional sales such as restaurants and churches. These institutions burn millions of candles per year and always insist on the best quality. Many insist on using only General Wax candles. We pride ourselves on creating the best burning candles in the industry.General Wax has an in-house attitude. Many companies today believe in outsourcing and virtual corporations. We take the opposite approach. Hire the best possible people, treat and train them well, and develop expertise for the entire operation in-house. With a few exceptions, we design our own candle making equipment, mix our own wax formulas, do our own wax testing, write our own software programs and manufacture the majority of our candles on our premises in North Hollywood, California.

Glass+Recycle

We LOVE our Earth!

General Wax and Candle Company have been recycling their glass for decades!! We take empty candles that were returned and clean them to be refilled and resold for cheaper. Our most popular candle, “Offering Candles” comes with removable labels that peel off without leaving residue so we can efficiently clean the glass and reuse it! Great for you and great for our Earth! It means that glass doesn’t end up in a landfill. We’re all responsible for the health of our Earth.
